The agreement between you and Designated Commerce
- We build and set up stores for a flat, one-time fee. No share of your sales.
- Your exact deliverables and timeline go in writing before you pay.
- You own every account, store and asset we create for you.
- Every store is built to sell. How much it sells depends on your product, budget and the scale you launch at, so we don't promise a fixed amount of sales, profit or income.
Who we are
Designated Commerce is a United States limited liability company based in Houston, Texas. We provide done-for-you ecommerce setup and management services for Shopify, Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop, Etsy and YouTube. By booking a consultation, accepting a quote or paying for a package, you agree to these terms.
Scope of work and your client agreement
Before any payment, we confirm in writing what your package includes, what it does not include, and the delivery timeline. Once you onboard, your client agreement sets out the full scope of services, terms and policies for your project. If anything in that agreement differs from this page, the agreement applies.
Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only starts after you approve it.
Timelines
Shopify Starter stores go live within 14 days of kickoff. Most other builds take 3 to 4 weeks. Timelines start once we have everything we need from you, such as your intake answers, account access and brand details. Delays caused by missing information, platform verification or third-party approvals extend the timeline by the same amount.
Fees and payment
Package prices are one-time setup fees shown in US dollars, unless a package says it includes ongoing management. We accept PayPal and Zelle, and other methods on request. Payment is due before work starts unless your agreement sets out instalments.
Our fees do not include costs charged by other companies. Platform subscriptions (such as Shopify plans), seller and transaction fees, inventory, apps, themes bought for your store and advertising spend are paid by you directly to those providers.
Your accounts and ownership
Stores, seller accounts, channels and ad accounts are registered in your name and remain yours. We work through the access tools each platform provides, such as staff or user permissions, and we never ask for your passwords or banking details. On handover, all content, product listings and brand assets created for your store belong to you.
Sales, profit and results
Every store we build is set up to make sales: researched products, a store built to convert, and the tracking and launch support to get it moving. How much a store sells, and how profitable it becomes, depends on the scale you launch at, including your product and pricing, your ad budget and stock levels, market demand, and how actively the store is run after handover.
Because those factors differ for every client, we can't promise a specific amount of sales, revenue, profit or income, and nothing on this website is an earnings claim. During your consultation we'll talk through what your budget can realistically support.
Platform rules
Every marketplace sets its own rules. We build to the platform policies in force at the time of your project. Platforms can approve, restrict or suspend accounts at their own discretion, and we cannot control or reverse those decisions.
Designated Commerce is an independent agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with Shopify, Amazon, TikTok, Etsy or YouTube. Their names and logos belong to their owners and are used here only to describe the platforms we work on.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the package in question. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect losses.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here on the date you sign your agreement applies to your project. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
